Wednesday Workout for August 14
If you haven’t tried one of the Wednesday Workouts yet, join us this Wednesday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Mill City Running. After a few brief instructions, we will head out for a short warm up, then this weeks workout will be intervals on Boom Island.
The option are;
After each interval, you’ll get a 2 minute recovery on a 400m grass loop. The idea behind this workout is to simulate a race type effort. We are still focusing on the speed side of training. By taking 2 minutes between repeats, you are able to run close to or faster than race pace for the short distance. When race day comes around, you will be comfortable with your goal pace since you have trained at (or faster) than it.
