October 14 on the University of Minnesota Campus
Hosted by the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, the Zombie vs. Human 6.66K offers a scary fun run with proceeds benefiting oral cancer research.
The Great Candy Run
October 14 at Lake Phalen in St. Paul
Sweet family fun for all awaits at the Great Candy Run in St. Paul! Registration includes finisher medals, a costume contest, cash prizes for top runners, and family activities including balloon art, face painting, and plenty of candy!
Pumpkin Run & Walk 5K
October 21 in Fond du Lac
The 12th annual Pumpkin Run & Walk welcomes runners of all abilities and encourages costumes! Refreshments, free parking, and door prizes are just a few of the many wonderful things about this great October tradition!
Monster Dash Half, 5K, 10K, and Mt. Doom Challenge
October 27 at CHS Field in St. Paul
This classic Twin Cities Halloween-themed race offers a variety of race distances, swag for all registered runners, and prizes for top finishers.
Frightening 5K Fun Run/Walk
October 27 in Northfield
The Frightening 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, including those with strollers and/or dogs! Costumes are encouraged with prizes from Brick Oven Bakery and Run n Fun.
Scare in White Bear 5K
October 27 in White Bear Lake
Scare in White Bear offers races for adults and children of all ages with awards for top runners and prizes for best costumes. Registered runners receive a high-quality t-shirt, refreshments, and snacks. Plus, Kids’ race participants will receive a finishers’ medal! Gently used or new coats will also be collected for the Kids Coat Drive.
Grey Ghost 5K
October 28 in Anoka
The 32nd Annual Grey Ghost 5K in Anoka is flat, fast, and fun! There are awards for top runners, plus all runners will receive a technical long sleeve shirt, apples, cider, and water at the finish. Costumes are encouraged with prizes five places deep.
The Great Pumpkin Chase 5K, 10K and Kids Dracula Dash Fun Run
October 28 at Lake Elmo Park Reserve
The Great Pumpkin Chase is a scenic race through the Lake Elmo Park Reserve. 5K and 10K runners receive a long sleeve shirt with prizes for top runners. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the White Bear Food Shelf.
Jack-o-Lantern 5K and Kids Half-Mile Pumpkin Run
October 28 in Shakopee
The Jack-o-Lantern 5K is put on by the fine folks at the Parks & Recreation Department. Halloween costumes are encouraged with prizes for Best Costume, plus awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Spooky Sprint 5K and Kids Dash
October 28 in Hutchinson
Bring the family out for a 5k fun run or walk and 1/2 mile kids dash through Hutchinson. Costumes are encouraged. Register as a family or group with three or more participants and receive 10% off!
