Do you have your spring races on the calendar? Now that it’s February, I’m eagerly looking ahead to March and April races, but which to choose? One of our favorite options is the Goldy’s Run 10 Mile, 5K & Relay on April 8th. A 10 mile is a great “rust-buster” distance for the spring season for marathoners, and virtually any runner can hop into the 5K or Relay distances! Goldy’s Run offers an event like no other; here are our top four reasons to register for the Goldy’s Run 10 Mile & 5K!
About Goldy’s Run 10 Mile, 5K & Relay
Now in its 8th year, Goldy’s Run 10 Mile, 5K & Relay will host runners on Sunday, April 8th at TCF Bank Stadium, home of the University of Minnesota Gophers. Although the race is most well known for its iconic finish line, Goldy’s Run was created with the mission of changing lives. The race takes place because of a partnership with Abbott and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and together, they raise funds for pediatric cardiovascular research and care.
If the charitable cause isn’t enough to persuade you to run Goldy’s Run, the well-managed event, Goldy swag, and amazing race course may do the trick. Runners can choose from three race distances: 10 Miles, 5K, or a 2-person, 10 Mile Relay. Plus, the Gopher Gallop event, a 400m lap around the track, is available for kids ages 10 and under.
Here are our top four reasons you should register for the Goldy’s Run 10 Mile, 5K, or relay:
