Kick off your 2015 Running Season with a March Race in Minnesota!
Are you looking for a way to beat the winter blues? A scientifically proven way to lift your spirit is to exercise! Fortunately, there are plenty of Irish themed (and other) races happening around the Twin Cities this month to get you outside and in shape for the spring.
There are many great races coming up! If you’re a planner (and what runner isn’t?), you may want to look ahead at one of these.
April 18 – Hot Chocolate 5k/15k. If you love chocolate fondue and running, you’ll want to see what this USATF certified course along the river in Minneapolis is all about. It will fill quickly, so register before the next price increase on March 1.
May 24 – Med City Marathon. Did you know this is the 20th year of the Med City Marathon in Rochester? In addition to the marathon, they have a marathon relay, 20 miler, half marathon, youth run and 5k. If that’s not enough, you can get in on the mascot races as well. Prices go up February 28, so register now unless you like spending extra money.
October 4 – Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. It is dubbed the most beautiful Urban Marathon in America, and for good reason. Join over 12,000 runners as they make their way through the heart of downtown Minneapolis, around the lakes, over the river, up Summit Ave all the way to St. Paul. You just missed the first price increase, so register now to get the next best price.
